Excellent first impression

I took a leap of faith that the Milo was up to competing with Staub and Le Creuset. My first impression is; buy Milo and save money. This is a quality product that produces even cooking, great heat and cleans easily. Impressive that the white interior did not stain at all with the ingredients used in Hungarian Goulash. Nice addition to our kitchen!

I am in the "always wanted one but not at $400 crowd". I read about Milo back in April 2018 and was impressed by the initial product reviews. I bought my Milo in April based on those early product reviews. I have used it many times for sauces, stews, and even popcorn. I am very happy with my Milo's fit and finish. The proof is in the pudding as every dish I have made in the Milo has come out perfect. Moisture retention is excellent. The lid fits tightly creating a good seal. Long cooking for hours at low heat, not a problem. Searing meats at high temperatures is a breeze with no overcrowding. Stove to oven to finish off a dish is where the Milo excels. I wondered about popping popcorn. My popcorn turned out great with big fluffy flowerets and no unpopped kernels. Sprinkle some home made magic dust (Shane Lyons) and you'll have a real treat! I haven't made bread yet but I see some have. I can't wait to try bread! Clean up is easy. I always hand wash. Barely need a sponge or dishrag. But be carefull. Under that beautiful enamel is some hefty iron! I have had some occasions to use Milo's customer service. They really do try to answer back in a few hours. As a matter of fact Zach Schau, Milo's founder, emailed me a couple of times on some questions I had. You only get this level of support from a company that has a passion for its products. They also have a pretty good FAQ section. I get the sense that everybody at Milo is a home chef! Bottom line: You will love your Milo and be very happy about the low price.

Thanks, Paul! Glad you're loving it. This is the kind of story that makes our day.

High quality for a low price

Bought the Milo to replace my $500 Le Creuset. Besides a few cost-saving design differences, they perform almost identically. Love the new Milo. Never going back!
